- Secondary layer substrate: Soil mix can be used as a growing medium for semi-arid/ desert plants as well as make a solid surface for healthy bacteria to establish.
- An additional decorative topping: Outline or enhance the aesthetics of models, hardscapes, or other top layer decoration.
**Due to our substrate’s great ability to retain moisture, we do not recommend using it as a drainage layer substrate. Direct access to stagnant water will lead to mold, mildew, & unpleasant odors.
